ZITTAU TANKARD

Very rare corbel in typical colours of variegated glaze with floral decoration in Zittau green with manganese brown and purple contours. Dedication on the pewter lid: J f / Anna Schnibben / d 1649. Under the lid a mark. In the 17th century, Habanese settlers settled in the Zittau area, bringing with them a tradition of famous ceramic art. Very good state of preservation, abrasions.
