Christoph Weigel (1654 - 1725) DISCUS CHRONOLOGICUS (3 SHEETS)

Three sheets of chronological charts with a clear history of Europe, Germany and Italy in circular diagrams with a central moving pointer. Titles are on draperies, in some cases held by putti and other decoration with text. Central hands are very rarely preserved outside. The leaves used to be included in geographical atlases; by moving the hands it is possible to compare the rulers of specific countries at a given time. Sheet sizes: 47 x 39, 45,5 x 38, 55 x 53 cm.
