The impressive sculpture is the work of a sculptor who has also been successfully involved as a typographer and teacher. Jiří Bradáček studied at UMPRUM under Prof. Karel Dvořák and was a member of the Krok 57 group. Initially, he worked in the Duchcov porcelain factory Royal Dux, for which he designed small sculptures. In 1958, his porcelain sculptures Giraffe and Television Crew were a great success and were selected for the exposition at Expo 58 in Brussels. From 1967 he worked as an associate professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, where he headed the studio of applied sculpture. Among his pupils were Čestmír Suška, Magdalena Jetelová, Martin Zet and Michal Gabriel. He created a number of free and decorative sculptures for North Bohemian cities such as Děčín, Most, Teplice, Ústí nad Labem. The present sculpture made of plaster, which bears the typical features of his exterior works, is also in the spirit of modernism.
