BAROQUE CONSOLE TABLE

Richly carved late Baroque console table with stylized floral decoration condensed around the central arm and on the sides. Below, a throne with an already asymmetrical carving announcing the transition of the Baroque style into the more Mannerist Rococo. Above, a slab of dark purple marble with a colourful stone design. The highly crafted console table is a dramatic yet elegant representation of late Baroque Rome. Excellent state of preservation.
