Kamil Lhoták (1912 - 1990) BALOON VICTOR HUGO

At the Jubilee Exhibition in Prague, Frenchmen Louis Godard and Edouard Surcour demonstrated two balloons, a one-seater Godard and a four-seater Victor Hugo. The aeronauts made a total of 35 take-offs and this event was the pinnacle of aeronautics in Bohemia. Kamil Lhoták, fascinated by science and technology, created this work for Lyra Pragensis.
