Eva Švestková (1945 - 2012) COSMOS

The large-area, densely shaped, etched and colored glass sculpture with a relief decor evoking the stellar space is one of Eva Švestková's best works. She graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague with prof. Libenský in the glass engineering studio. It is definitely worth mentioning her unrealized studio work, where she combines reality with modernist elements or creates abstractions (there is also a thematically interesting drawing of the Big Bang). Eva Švestková clearly belongs to a narrow group of the most important Czech glass designers, implementers and experts.
