Pavel Janák (1882 - 1956) A CUBIST COFFEE SERVICE

Six cups and saucers: 6.5 x 14 cm; Teapot with lid: 18.5 x 16 cm; Milk bottle: 15 x 15 cm; Sugar bowl with lid: 11.5 x 15 cm. The famous nine-part Cubist service was designed by Pavel Janák for the Artěl production  and made by Graniton, Rydl and Thon, Svijany-Podolí. Conical shape, faceted mantle with 12 facets, gold ears are in the shape of balls, gold star diamond pattern adorns the entire service. References: Švestka J. and T.
