Ladislav Šaloun became famous in his time as an excellent portraitist and portrayed many famous personalities. The most famous is his monument to Jan Hus on the Old Town Square. In the portrait of PhDr. Miroslav Tyrš, co-founder of the Sokol of Prague, chose an elegant style, depicting Tyrš as a proud elegant man in a Sokol costume with a sword. Unfortunately, the original large statue was destroyed during the war, but its copy was created in the courtyard of Tyrš's house in Prague-Újezd according to a preserved model. Marked with foundry hallmark of Karel Barták.
