Otto Prutscher (1880 - 1949) A CUP

The author was a prominent Viennese architect and designer. He was one of the leading designers of furniture and applied art in the Wiener Werkstätte, and his glass appears sporadically on the market. The cup belongs to a series of drinking glasses, which has been produced since 1907 in various color variants according to Prutscher's designs in the spirit of the Viennese geometric Art Nouveau by the Czech glassworks Josef Meyr´s Neffe in Adolfov near Vimperk. Transparent glass overlayed with ruby ​​glass, cut geometric pattern.
