A woodcarving of a young man casually leaning on a tree, holding a pitcher in one hand, while a tame deer lies at his foot and looks upward. The work shows typical features of Damián Pešan’s work: the skillfully carved figure, smooth features, and strong sense for woodcarving. The dedication is a reference to his respect for his professor, Josef Drahoňovský, who was his instructor at the School of Applied Arts in Prague. Damián Pešan’s work can also be found in Plečnik’s Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord in Prague–Vinohrady.
