Josef Král (1877 - 1914) OIL STUDIES FROM TRAVELS

A student of landscape painting under professors Mařák and Ottenfeld, in 1907 Josef Král travelled throughout Germany and later to France. This gave rise to many landscape, ship, train and railroad studies, which he painted realistically and with a sense for light. In December 1909 he exhibited 135 of his works at the House of Artists in Prague.
