Linden wood, polychrome. A relief of the three figures portrays St. Anne seated on the left, dressed in a long green cloak. Green, the color of spring, symbolizes rebirth and immortality. Her head is covered with a white veil, alluding to the Old Testament promise to the Messiah. The Virgin Mary is seated to the right in a red dress, the color symbolizing love, her wavy long black hair flowing down her back. Both female figures are holding the standing Infant Jesus in the center. Repainting from a later date with remnants of the original polychrome paint.
