Original puppet made for a stop-motion film, various materials, rotating wooden plinth, glass dome. Signed on underside: “Trnka”. This puppet was used in the wide-screen stop-motion film "A Midsummer Night's Dream," Jiri Trnka's unique adaptation of the Shakespeare play. The Czech film, which took nearly two years to make, is considered one of Trnka's masterpieces and continues to garner respect and admiration to this day.
