A miniature chest from the workshop of Nuremburg goldsmith Michael Mann-Kästchenn is furnished with a secret lock under the centre strip on the lid. Decorated with an acanthine lattice along the perimeter of the outer case; the bottom and strips are decorated with engravings. Accessible lock system inside. Lined with silk satin. Fire-gilded and silver-plated brass.
