Important German painter and printmaker from Dresden. In his early work he was an advocate of New Objectivity, which was later denounced by the National Socialists as degenerate art. Oil on canvas. Signed and dated on top right. The artist's work from this period is extremely rare on the art market as most of his works were destroyed.
