This scene symbolizes the transfer of power to the people and it sovereignty. Number dial: Enamel, with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes. Iron, carved and blued hands. Small number dial in center for setting the alarm. Clockwork: brass, ornamental fire-gilded plates, richly carved bridge, silver number dial with carved hand for setting precision.
