Previously unknown and unpublished work of Bohumil Kubišta, most probably representing the Pula coastline. "The chosen post-impressionistic drawing technique demonstrates the author's firm grasp of the vivid colours and masterfully captures the essence of the coastline, the motion of the surface of the sea and the awe-inspiring quality of the moment. The drawing technique suggests connections with some of Kubišta's marines he made when he was deployed in Pula...Considering the format of the painting, it may be speculated that it might have been a part of decorating a Pula casino Kubišta was involved in.
