This paiting, Forest Path, is a typical instance of Mařák's output, with the recurring themes of forest, earth tones and a play of light and shadow. The work dates "from the first half of the 1880s, when Mařák was narrowing his focus down to smaller and delineated spaces" (PhDr. Naděžda Blažíčková-Horová). The expert assessment is included.
