An impressive large-scale work with the use of the author's technique of chiasmage by a prominent representative of Group 42, Jiří Kolář. The author is highly appreciated not only for his artistic work, but also for his literary work. He has transformed himself from a poet into an artist, giving words a three-dimensional form, turning everyday objects into poems. He is the author of many collections of poetry and two plays. Experiments with the blending of several artistic levels in one work led him to create a kind of photographic diary, which gradually evolved into collages. In these, he freed himself from language as a binding device and gave his "poems" a new dimension - in the 1960s he moved into fine art. In this case, it is a visual sonnet on Kupka's linear and circular compositions. Artist, author of collages and assemblages, poet and translator, one of the most influential personalities of Czech post-war culture and one of the most famous Czech artists in the world. He co-founded Group 42, was a member of UB and the group Křižovatka. A signatory of Charter 77, he left for Paris in 1980 and returned to Prague in 1999. In Paris he was a co-publisher of Revue K. His works are represented, for example, in NG Praha, Centre G. Pompidou and Galerie Maeght-Lelong Paris, Museum of Modern Art New York, Cologne, Madrid and elsewhere. He has frequently exhibited individually and collectively, and has received numerous awards.
