Jiří Winter Neprakta (1924 - 2011) THE DEVIL AND KATE

Neprakta was active in several artistic disciplines, but he is best known for his extensive work in caricature and humour. Typical of his work is a grossly simplified contour line guided by a broad trace and a caricaturing distortion of form. The obvious inspiration of Josef Lada is considerably shifted in tone towards a more reckless, direct and critical approach. In this sense, the large-scale drawing on offer is a typical example of Neprakta's work. Newly framed.
