From the opinion of PhDr. Mgr. Michael Zachař: "The subject, composition and color of the plein-air format painting under consideration is mainly related to the author's Okoř related paintings, it became the starting point for a number of other compositions and carries within it an accent of captivating and warm intimacy, anticipating the quiet music of Le Sidaner's landscapes. The unusual impressiveness and ceremony of this plein-air work characterized by a refined composition, harmonious sonorous color and suggestive mood proves the convincing qualities of Hudeček's landscape painting as well as his successes at the time on the international art scene."
