Cyril Bouda (1901 - 1984) CRAYFISH WITH AN ARTICHOKE

The still life with a kitchen theme by Cyril Bouda attracts attention especially with its rich colors and interesting combination of elements, which are combined in a decent format. An unusual and playful still life testifies to his multifaceted talent. Cyril Bouda, in addition to his extensive painting and graphic work, was also significant for his pedagogical activities. In the years 1946–1972 he worked as a professor at the Faculty of Education, Charles University. He first devoted himself to free graphics and painting. All his life he worked as an illustrator of books, especially fairy tales, Czech legends, humorous and historical books.
