Zdeněk Burian has indelibly entered the consciousness of Czech teen and children's readers as he depicts the many adventures of the novel's heroes - either in books or chapters based on a sequel in one of the many magazines. With his drawings, he accompanied, for example, the titles of Karel May, Jules Verne, Edgar Rice Burroughs and Eduard Storch. However, he received international recognition only thanks to his reconstructions of extinct species of animals and plants, on which he collaborated with leading Czech experts.
