Matěj Lipavský (1985) THE BLUE ROOM

Matěj Lipavský was born in Prague and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts under Jiří Sopek, Igor Korpaczewski and Jindřich Zeithamml. He is primarily an illustrator (Věra Jirousová: Tweety 1956-1963, Tomáš Gabriel: Prequel, Táňa Maljarčuková: Bestiář).

The landscape dominates Lipavský’s works, which are often surprising for their unexpected neon color range. Here the color of the room behind the door is the central motif, prevailing over the entire composition.
