Maxim Kopf's work, executed in short, striking colour casts, is a typical example of his landscape work from his many travels. The supremely expressive form belongs to the artist's virtuoso expressions, in which he abandons simple description and devotes himself to experience. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague with Prof. Bukovac, Thiele and Krattner and in Dresden with Prof. Gussmann. His early works were influenced by expressionism, he painted landscapes and biblical themes, but also the theme of Buddha. Maxim Kopf liked to explore unknown lands. Authenticated by prof. PhDr. Tomáš Vlček, CSc.
