Karl Friedrich Schinkel (1781 - 1841) TWO CAST IRON STOOLS

The two rarely found stools are based on a design from 1830 by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. They were made in a Prussian iron foundry in the first half of the 19th century. Karl Friedrich Schinkel designed a model of a garden chair around 1830 for the so-called Roman baths in the park of the Sanssouci castle in Potsdam. The model was produced by several Prussian iron foundries, e.g. Königlich-Preußische Eisengießerei, Berlin.
