Miloš Jiránek has an important and irreplaceable place in the development of Czech modern painting. He studied at the Academy with Maximilian Pirner and Vojtěch Hynais, and his many travels were an important part of his knowledge, but unfortunately his career was ended by death at a young age. In the period under study, Miloš Jiránek recorded motifs of costumed people in Slovakia, especially in the vicinity of the Myjava River, whose flat course in Záhorie corresponds to the depicted landscape. The back side of the painting corresponds in motif to a work from 1903 - Slovaks in church.
