Jakub Bauernfreund (1904 - 1976) DANCE

During his studies at the Academy, Jakub Bauernfreud already created a very distinctive handwriting, which brought him recognition. He transferred the image he saw into the work sensuously and chose the colors rather judiciously. He experimented with expressive cubism with a touch of poeticism of his own. Because of his Jewish origin, he first had to leave Czechoslovakia and then Berlin. He took refuge in the United Kingdom, where he created, for example, a mural in the school library of Jews college, which symbolically included the 10 main Jewish holidays.
