The side wings of an altarpiece from the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries depicting Christ on the Mount of Olives and the Crowning of Christ with Thorns. The iconography of Christ on the Mount of Olives is based on the texts of the Gospels of Matthew: "My Father, if it is not possible for the cup to pass from me, and if I have to drink it, your will be done." An angel is also depicted near the cup, who supplies Christ forces. Peter, James and John fall asleep tired while Jesus prays. In the distance behind the goal - absent here (but usually shown) is the arrival of armed guards with torches and lanterns. The scene of the Crowning of Christ with Thorns creates a contrast between the calm and contemplative expression of Christ, who averts his gaze from the unfortunate event and his suffering takes place primarily inside. On the contrary, his tormentors, preoccupied with work, are depicted in a caricature manner. An interesting feature is the variation in the color of Christ's mantle, which is traditionally scarlet.
