Karel Teissig (1925 - 2000) BLACK BOATS

Karel Teissig was a Czech academic painter, illustrator, graphic artist, typographer and exhibition curator. The work from 1978, which has several processing variants on the market, shows both his early leaning towards expressive colors and the later reduction of color to monochrome. He often created works through a combination of painting and collage, where he became famous for his movie posters. His free creation in the spirit of expressiveness often comes with a certain urgency and affects remote regions of the human psyche. The work comes from the collection of Ota Janeček.
