Grigorij Musatov (1889 - 1941) A SOWER

The impressionist painting of subtle to dreamy colors dates back to the 1930s, influenced by naivety, primitivism or Russian folk art. Grigory Musatov conveys memories, dreams and experiences shrouded in a subtle haze of curly colored curls. On the back is a confirmation of authenticity from Grigory Musatov's daughter Eleonora Musatova: "Grigory Musatov's painting "Sower " from about 1933 comes from the estate of Andrei Terentevich Serebryakov, a longtime friend of my father. Prague, September 5, 1975"
