Bedřich Havránek (1821 - 1899) LANDSCAPE WITH A ROCK

From the opinion of PhDr. Naděžda Blažíčková-Horová: "The presented picture of smaller dimensions The landscape with a rock placed in the foreground in a grass by a metal railing among the trees is undoubtedly the work of Bedřich Havránek, probably from the 1880s. from many studies on the missing painting of the same name reproduced in Zlatá Praha in 1918. For more than half a century Havránek painted unmistakable paintings with landscape motifs, characteristic of his painter's handwriting, always fascinated by natural details, from views of trees, stumps, leaves, shrubs,... From these seen details recorded in nature, Havránek was able to compose his own, individually conceived view of the landscape in the studio, which did not lack impressiveness and charm. This Landscape with a rock, study painting of Macocha near Blansko, will enrich the hitherto well-known collection of Havránek's works.
