Marie Gallimberti-Provázková (1880 - 1951) VASE MIT ROSEN

Marie Galimberti-Provázková belongs to a number of Czech modern artists, whose contribution to Czech expressionist painting is unfortunately slightly forgotten. Her still lifes, landscapes, portraits and self-portraits are based on the tradition of French post-impressionism and cubism, and contemporary criticism has paid considerable attention to it. Madame Gali met Josef Váchal and became a member of the "Free Association of Independent Czech Artists", with whom she exhibited for two years in Rudolfinum. In 1921, together with Váchal, she founded the artistic association Tvorba. All the bouquets she painted in a considerable artistic setting and tried to dispel prejudices in this genre.
