Jaroslav Paur was a Czech painter of the period of civilism, realism and abstraction. The motif of the sun or the moon, which was already present in his paintings during the 1960s, was transformed in the 1970s into the form of an artificial satellite, which would remain Paur's characteristic feature. Darkly glowing celestial bodies hover above the city expanding into an infinite structure.
