René Hábl (1968 - 2021) ILLUSIONS

René Hábl reduced the visible world into simplified signs and structures. The compositions change continuously - at first they brighten up with colours, then they calm down and the colours become more conservative and the tuning minimalistic. It creates a strange fluid world where figuration meets abstraction. René Hábl was a Czech painter, graphic artist and teacher. From 1983-1987 he studied at the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts in Uherské Hradiště, then from 1988-1994 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the studio of Jiří Sopek, František Hodonský, Jan Kotík and Miloš Šejn.
