Kamil Lhoták (1912 - 1990) CIRCUS

A painter, graphic artist and illustrator with an unmistakable handwriting whose works are in great demand on the auction market. An autodidact who created hundreds of works during the war, thus becoming, in his own words, the painter Kamil Lhoták, "looking for KL". His fascination with civilization and the modern world permeates all of Lhoták's work, as he himself adds: "I have always been interested in landscapes in which nature and civilisation are combined, in artificial landscapes in which man intervenes."
