Ivan Exner (1960) UNTITLED (FRONTAL COMPOSITION)

Ivan Exner is one of the most respected contemporary Czech artists. He was greatly inspired by Italian Renaissance art, but he never followed global trends and tried to find his own ways and unique artistic expressions. In the 1990s, several compositions appeared in which neoclassical morphology turns into abstraction and reality is represented by a simplified sign or pictogram.
