Rony Plesl (1965) VASE

Impressive vase by the internationally renowned Czech glassmaker, sculptor and designer Rony Plesl. It is cast and blown crystal glass, sandblasted and polished in acid, made in the glassworks in Český Brod. Plesl's sources of inspiration come from his knowledge of art history and his admiration for the old masters. He has always been fascinated by the geometry and intimacy of the Italian Renaissance and the architectural richness of the Baroque. Early in his career, he spent four years in Venice, where he learned from the Italian glass masters.
