Josef Danhauser (1805 - 1845) (Werkstätte) BIEDERMEIER SOFA

This elegant sofa from the Biedermeier period with rounded sections is a combination of walnut wood with a rich pattern with blackened pear used on the pilasters with distinctive entasis and lines on the legs. This exceptional example of timeless laconic design probably comes from the famous Viennese workshops of Josef Danhauser. Newly upholstered in black velvet, completely restored.
