Specifically, it is the character of the craftsman, an amateur actor who plays the moon in this play. Jiří Trnka has made his mark on the Czech consciousness with his unmistakable style of illustration and his contribution to Czech animated film. A painter, cartoonist, graphic designer, illustrator who left an indelible mark not only on Czech animated film, but also created unique book illustrations and theatre puppets.
