The symbolist dynamic composition follows the cycle of ballads about a knight from the 1970s, from challenging years when the social and economic crisis greatly affected cultural life. Generations of the National Theater and solitaires like Maxmilián Pirner, who also ventured into darker areas, tried to find starting points. The work of Maxmilián Pirner is characterized by a symbolist tuning set in the world of fantasy and often an ironic line. The depicted knight on horseback allows himself to be tricked during the duel and fights an unequal battle with death itself, which wins even with a broken pole.
