FRENCH LOUIS XV. COMMODE

This exceptional robust French chest of drawers from the reign of Louis XV is one of the examples of the combination of the fine tradition of foreign craftsmanship with a dynamic understanding of Baroque morphology. Three drawers in total with solid brass figural fittings. Floral motifs in brass with female faces stretching along the corners from the legs to the top plate. The woodwork is finished with pleated rosewood in intricate geometric marquetry. Completely restored.
