The thematic circle of the manege, magicians and Commedia dell'arte - for example Harlequin and Pulcinella are among the core themes of František Tichý's work. The presented graphic sheet is an excellent example of the artistic abilities of František Tiché, a leading personality of the Czech avant-garde of the 1940s. In relatively simple lines, he captures captivating scenes, often also the urgency of human destiny.
