Jan Kutálek (1917 - 1987) A NIX

The Czech artist and sculptor Jan Kutálek is known for his distinctive ceramic figural work. Since the 1950s, he has also focused on applied art in his ceramic work. His work was most influenced by the work of the Italian expressive potter Salvator Fancella. Kutálek drew mainly themes from Czech and Greek mythology, legends, and fairytales for his works. His work is characterized by unusual playfulness, unusual poetry and is endowed with a special fairy-tale charm, which is also presented by the Aquarius on offer.
