Max Liebermann (1847 - 1935) HUNTER WITH DOGS

Max Liebermann first studied law and philosophy, but later switched to painting and drawing. Liebermann painted scenes from the lives of people in the countryside, from his life and his work. He was president of the Prussian Academy of Arts, but resigned after the rise of the Nazis because of his Jewish origin, because the works of Jewish authors were not allowed to be exhibited.
