Jaroslav Kotas (1909 - 1981) FROM KAMPA

Jaroslav Kotas was born on 6.5. 1909 in Skalička near Tišnov and was a painter, graphic artist and draftsman. He studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague with prof. Z. Kratochvíla and F. Kysela. The theme of his works became a man-made landscape - cities, streets. He also devoted himself to portrait painting and still lifes. His works are represented in regional galleries and NG in Prague.
