Josef Liesler (1912 - 2005) MOUTH, EYES, IN A COLUMN

Throughout the work of Josef Liesler, a strong inspiration from surrealism can be seen. He himself referred to his work as "fantastic reality". In it, he combined fantastic ideas with memories, the current situation with historical memory. He painted apocalyptic images of monsters and phantoms, machines and fused humans.
