Václav Špála stood out for his intuitive, virtuosic expression of painting, which really few people mastered. In addition to bouquets, bathing motifs and cubistically stylized landscapes, he also painted lively portraits with full and forceful touches of the brush. Václav Špál was one of the most prominent representatives of the Czech artistic avant-garde, a member of the Group of Fine Artists, the Group of Tvrdošijní and the Association of Fine Artists Mánes, an author whose work belongs to the classic and proven values of our painting.
