Academic painter Karel Langer is one of the important representatives of Mařák's school and is a co-founder of impressionism in our country. He studied in the studio of prof. J. Mařák at the AVU in Prague, then he studied for another three years on a figurative specialty with prof. Ottenfeld. The neo-romantic landscape represents a gentle and elegant plein air with idyllic colors.
