Jaroslav Panuška completely adopted the virtuoso landscape style of his teacher Julius Mařák. He excelled in authentically depicting various moods and lighting situations in the landscape. Panuška had a lifelong love of nature and began painting simple motifs from the open landscape at the Prague Academy around 1893.
